Jayden and Savannah.

I have thought that Savannah looks like Jayden and Maliyah, but as I was looking at pictures tonight, Jayden really had a few different features that were different enough to make her look more like Maliyah. Well one he was just bigger, he had darker eyes, and more prominent lips, but they were my two babies with perfectly round heads and immediately that made them look alike!

I dont' have a good one of Maliyah to post right now, but i'll find one and maybe show that comparison next week.

Freezing WAter!

Thursday my friend Kimbery had invited the kids and I to go swimming at her parents house. The kids had a blast, probably could have played all afternoon....and nearly did! The water was FREEZING and it would take the kids awhile to get used to it and be comfortable playing in it, but once they did they LOVED it! I'm still not quite ready for a swimsuit, so I watched and played with the babies! It was a really fun afternoon so THANKS Kimberly!

Later that Evening Duck suprised me with a little gift...okay a BIG gift! We had been talking about a new camera for awhile, but I wanted to wait until we could afford a good one. Well, he had done a lot more researching and looking than I and he found an incredible deal on Ebay and went for it! I am very happy, super excited, can't wait to learn more about this camera, but horrible timing! I've been trying really hard to eliminate NOT HAVE TO'S from my schedule, trying to simplify my life (yeah right) and it's going to eat at me every day, sitting there, calling at me to play with it! But I'm going to be good and wait until a few really busy things I have going on are through, then I can do that....in the mean time good thing it has an automatic button! Thanks Duck for being so thoughtful...I love you and you are the best!

These are two of the first picutres Duck took while experimenting with the camera. I was actually gone grocery shopping and didn't even know he had opened it up and taken pictures!

Jayden's 21 month pictures

Thursday night I also had a friend do Jaydens 21 month pictures. I wanted the scenery and style to match pictures I had done with Kyson when he was 2. Jayden is such a funny kid it was really fun to take his pictures. We got some really cute shots! I haven't had time to play with the photos much, but I wanted to at least post the one of Kyson and a similar one of Jayden. Then if you want to see a few more you can check out Tiffany's Photogrphy blog until I post the rest of them!

And I'm not even going to ask if you can guess which one, they really don't look that much alike!

Ashlands Water Park

Friday this week I had DUck take work off so we could go to Ashland to take the kids to the little water park there. Since we were going that direction we were also going to stop in Medford. Gymboree was having a big sale and it was that time to buy clearance for next summer, so Duck dropped off me and the babies to shop while he took the older two to the museum. It was perfect, the little ones were good while I shopped, I got some AMAZING deals (I"m nearly set for next summer) and then we met up for some yummy mall snacks. I hadn't had mall food in forever....mmmmPretzel Maker!

The water park was a blast. It was an awesome day, hot enough for the kids to enjoy the cold water, but not sooo hot it was unbearable to hang out and watch them! I did though at one point have to go in and get my feet wet! Duck also had fun playing around with the new camera. (I did too, but I"m still just dying to read the manual and REALLY learn how to use it).

Just my Cute Baby!

These are just a couple cute picutre of my babe! Actually i think it was....thursday? That she wore this super cute outfit and as embarrasing as this is (for me to say), that was the first time so far I had made her matching accessories to match ANY of her clothes. I had up to this point only made her one bow, a white one to match whatever. Of course I had a few other things just laying around that I had used, that's kinda the idea to use maybe stuff I had already, but so sad that she was three weeks and it was the first time!

So it got me going....doen's take much to bring back those addicting juices! And the the following two days I HAD to make matching accessories!

I don't have pictures, but yesterday Duck was gone all day, so I tried to do some fun things with the kids. In the morning we went out to find some horses to pet or feed. The funny part of this story is the one place I saw a horse close to a fence where we coudl reach, was in someones backyard. So I was going ot knock on the door and ask if we could pet it. Well nobody answered but the name on the door was Succo. There is a lady in my ward named Beverly Succo...could this be her house? I made a few phone calls and sure enough it was! Just so ironic that the one hosue I finally decide to stop and ask happens to be someone we know! So we fed and pet the horse for awhile which was super great for Maliyah since she had been waiting to do it for days!

Then last night we went to my friend Angie's house for a movie night. The kids played more than they watched the movie, which normally is odd, but I think they were just too excited to be with friends to actually sit and watch a movie. Heck....so were we! Angie and I talked the whole time!

Our Update this week of 8-9 through 8-16-09

This update comes pretty soon after my last one, so if you didn't get to see all about baby coming and family being here, check out the last two pages of posts....there are some fun pictures you will have missed!

We had a good week, I worked hard trying to get caught up with some things so I can play with my kids over the next two weeks before school starts.

Significant events? Not really too many that aren't mentioned below. Jayden turned 21 months which means some pictures coming up!

Today was probably the biggest event that that was a calling change. I wasn't super happy about it, but there isn't much I CAN to about it, except be happy and accept with the joy of knowing we will be blessed as we willingly serve. RIGHT? No, I didn't get released...I'm still Primary President, and maybe that's the problem....no, I really love the primary....it's just overwhelming at times. But Duck was put in as Young Mens first counselor and Scout Master***okay I was wrong in the title....something varsity, not scout master, but with the way they run together might as well be! Sorry for the confusion***. Really, will it be all that awful? No. Will we be able to handle it fine? Yes. Honestly, the grief comes totally out of selfishness....I'm going to lose more time away from my husband and I don't like that. Meetings, Youth activities, the 3rd hour of church, and scouting events, activities and campouts. That's a lot of stuff and guess what? It started today. Both of us busy with our callings after church trying to wrap stuff up with four kids tired, hungry, and waiting to go home. Then Friday he already had a youth outing. Selfishness...that's all. I can handle the kids, I can handle being busy....I don't like him to be busy because that means I can't rely on him as much in my business....selfish. I know. So I'm going to pray a LOT this week so that I can feel peace about his calling and about me accepting it and being happy about it.

Okay one more thing to whine about. My baby starting school. I'm REALLY having a hard time with it. I hate the thought of her being away from me so much. I'll miss her. It's full day Kindergarten....I HATE that, and I will miss her. There is no other way to put it. I cry just about every day thinking about it and I probalby will keep crying until either postpartum is completely gone (no It's not bad!) or until school is out next spring. I LOVE having my kids home with me. I'm going to cry again! It will be hard having my kids away from me, it's part of life, and it's a new chapter I'm going to have to get used to, but for the next two weeks while they are still all completely mine....I"m going to try to enjoy it to the fullest!

Hope you all had a wonderful week and I hope you all enjoy reading about our week!

Emily's Birthday Party

Monday we went to a Birthday party for Ky and Maliyah’s friend Emily. It was a crazy day, we just heard about the party on Saturday, so didn’t really have time for much of a present. Maliyah wanted to make her pajama pants so we had to do an IOU, you can see those in a post below.

HEre are some pictures from the party. I didn’t get much as far as pictures go of my kids, and not really any good ones of Maliyah other than the back of her head, but here is what I got! Heather I’ll get the rest of them to you soon!

Stampin' UP Card party

Although I went to Enrichment Thursday night and didn't take Savannah with me, Friday night was my first extended night out where Duck would HAVE to use a bottle. She hadn't really taken one before Thurdsay and even then she wouldn't take it from Duck , just a little bit when I tried to feed her when I got home. Well she did great! Duck said she finished off her first bottle just fine and then started a second one but zonked out before finishing too much of it. I gave her another one on Saturday and she struggled a little bit, but I'm glad we are working on it now, becuase when we go on our trips to Utah (or anywhere!) it's nice to know we can use a bottle in the car.

My night out was a 10 for $10.00 stampin up card class. I don't usually do these classes because as cute as the cards are, I'm a simple card person. I like to go for the 20 cards in 20 minutes thing. It took me 2 1/2 hours to finish the 10 cards! But for social reasons and mommy needs some sane time reasons....it was fabulous! (And the cards REALLY are cute). Kimberly joined me for this much needed mommy night out. She was the one that actually called me to do a dinner and pedicure night out (which we still HAVE to do later!), but I had already signed up for the class so I'm SO glad that she could join me! It was really nice, and good for the Daddy's to have that time wtih the kids to!

Here is a picture of the cards we made.

And here is the link to my friend Molly's blog and stampin up website. She is the gal that hosts all these fabulous parties!

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star...baby bath

Saturday morning Duck was wonderful and let me sleep in. I had a really rough night, was upa lot with baby and needed a little rest. When I woke up the house was all clean! Even my floor was mopped....what a wonderful suprise! Half my days work was already done for me.

We spent the rest of the morning before DUck left, cutting boys hair and taking baths. Savannah even had her first real bath in the tub! Her cord officially came off and could have a real bath. She liked it until I had to get her out and she was cold! The other day when we had finisehd bathing her and I was putting lotion on her body...she was screaming, much like this day. All the kids were experiencing this with her for the first time. Up to this point they hadn't really heard her cry much so they were almost in shock! Here I was, changing SAvannah on the bed, her crying, all three other kids on the bed surrounding her and Maliyah starts singing Twinkle Little STar. Every day when I put Jayden to bed I sing twinkle little start to him, and lately I have tried to get him to join me and won't. But as Maliyah started singing, and Kyson joined her...so did Jayden! Of course most of the words were incomprehensible, but it was the most precious adorable thing to see all three of my kids singing to their baby sister to soothe her. It's a moment I will never forget! They did it again yesterday and we finally got part of it on video which hopefully I'll post soon!

Happy and content after her bath. OH! And Maliyah was really excited this day because she got to pick out her baby sisters clothes all on her own.

Duck took all these pitures and I didn't even really know there were on the camer until I downloaded them today. I love that all three kids are usually so willing to sit still for a picture. I have gotten so many cute ones lately of them all together!

Pajama Bummer!

I had to finish the pajama pants from the birthday earlier this week so Saturday morning I had the kids help me with them. Maliyah picked out the fabric and ribbons, then they both helped with the sewing. They are getting pretty good at it too! They just push the pedal, but it still takes some tricky moves to start, stop and go the right speed!

I wanted to have Maliyah try them on for me so I could take some pictures. Then Kyson came in and wanted to model the pair that he had helped make. I had to laugh, but let him anyway. When I asked him to take them off he got upset and wanted to wear them! When I explained that they were for Emily he was not happy. We then went into my craft room and found some old Car fabric my mom had give me to make a blanket or something and I never had. I told Ky we could make pants AND a matching blanket. He got excited about that. Still though I am laughing....I'm so happy my little boy loves our home making craftiness!

Four Bowlers, Two newborns, lots of pizza...and two TIRED moms!

Yesterday Duck had a Golf Tournament for work and one of the guys on his team was JOey....so another great opportunity to bug his wife and see if they want to join us for something so we aren't loners on yet another weekend! It was a little crazy with so many kids and the two of us with Newborns that of course are always hungry and awake at the same time!, but the kids really had fun (secretly I did too!) and we seemed to manage through the runaway balls (one ended up down an unused lane), stopped balls(wasn't thrown quite hard enough to make it all the way), and gutter balls(completely missed the lane and went straight into the gutter....even with the bumpers up!).

We finished off the evening with some games in the arcade and earning fabulous rubber bugs and rope rings with their plethera of tickets! Thanks Kimberly, Payton and Max for such a fun evening!

Yeah. Her new favorite pose. Cute once in awhile...but when it's in every picture? I've had enough.

Payton was so enthusiastic and occasionally the ball would end up being thrown more like a baseball than a bowling ball!

Jayden really good at what he does!

Ya know how they have those little fans for your sweaty hands? Paytons hair kept blowing up when he would lean over the ball return...it was pretty funny.

All the kids had their turn at Air Hockey, but Payton and Ky really had fun doing it. I just barely was pulling out my camera when they decided they were done. Then Maliyah tried it with jayden, not super succesful!

I need to start thinking to take pictures of Babies more!
