Carthage

We arrived in Nauvoo pretty late Saturday night. Our adventure getting there was not quite as planned, but we made it just when the family finished their work at the pageant. It was late, we were tired, but of course we stayed up even later because we were so excited to be there! We were able to stay in the condo my parents had rented. Thanks MOM and DAD!

Sunday church wasn’t until 2:00 so we got ready then headed out to see Carthage Jail. This is where the prophet Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum were martyred. It’s has a very reverenced feeling about it, and the spirit there is strong. The sacrifices of those two brothers are endless.
