Garfield Water Park in Ashland 6-16-09

AFter the museum I let the kids take a nap in the car while I drove down to Ashland which is just about 15 miles away from Medford. It's a tiny town that's super cute and I wish I had more reason to go there often! Online I found a park that had a small water play area. This trip was all about affordability and since this was a free activity not to far from where we were camping....I figured we would check it out! The kids loved it! Even though it wasn't a super warm day the kid's played for 2 1/2 hours! I didn't even realize how late it was or how long we had been there until I finally checked my phone and it was almost dinner time!

As I mentioned it wasn't really warm, overcast and a little chilly, but not too bad. Jayden though, didn't care at all! He was running crazy all over, soaking himself.

I dared Maliyah to go under a waterfall area and she did....and she didn't like it. She spent a lot of the time sitting on the lawn in a towel! She would dry off then go back in, but if she got too wet, she would have to come dry off again. I guess they were having fun either way though because when I did say it was time to go, they of course didn't want to leave!

Later at the campground I was trying to get a picture of all of us together. The funny thing is Jade will usually hold still for the camera for a few minutes, but because he didn't actually see somebody there holding the camera saying cheese...he didn't really get what I was wanting him to do!

That night we roasted hot dogs for dinner, roasted marshmallows and played until bed time!
