My last day of camping with the kids we spent up at Wildlife images in Merlin, just past Grants Pass. You can read about it here. They enjoyed looking at all the animals and learning about them. Although the learning part was a little slow as their attention span only lasts so long!
This is them watching the Eagle exhibit. There is this little room off the exhibit where they open up the windows (shutting all the doors) so we are right there with the birds. It was really cool.
This is the bird they were looking at. Not a great shot, but hopefully you can see him a bit! There were two males and one female, but the female was only a few years old and was still all brown...but she was huge!
This was one of their lions that came right up to the caretaker and was purring.....a very LOUD purr. The kids were TOTALLY into this cat and Jade kept roaring at it....kinda funny! You can see the sign. They have electric fences so I had to be really careful to make sure the kids didn't touch. It's a little hard for a 4 year old to really comprehend electrocution!
Wildlife Images ended our camping adventure this time, but Thursday I just volunteered at cub scout day camp and then we were off camping again!
