FHE Bowling 3-23-09

Two weeks ago in church for music time we bowled. The number of pins they knocked down was the line number we would sing in the song we were working on. It was super fun, the kids had a blast and they learned the song well.

My kids totally got into the bowling mood and were wanting to bowl constantly! So the next day for Family Home Evening we decided to take them bowling. (the only crappy part is for 3 kids it was $15.00!)

We usually just let Ky and Maliyah bowl, but figured Jade would be old enough to have fun with it too. Duck and I never do….we end up too busy with kids and we have fun helping them so why spend another $10.00!? Anyway they all had a really good time, but the cutest was on the way home when we were talking about getting ready for bed, Maliyah asked about having a lesson. Normally our FHE consists of song, prayer, lesson, game, another song, prayer and treat. When I told her we were skipping that this time, she totally freaked out! We have to have a lesson! So we came home and read a little story out of the Book of Mormon Reader for kids and briefly talked about what lesson learned in that. She still wasn’t convinced this was a lesson. “That wasn’t a lesson, that was just a story!” Glad that my kids love learning about the gospel!

How fun! THat's cute she made you do a real lesson! Sounds just like something Gorden would do. At least they love FHE!
