Corn Maze and Corn Box 10-24-08

Believe it or not, here in Klamath Falls we have something as amazing as a Corn Maze! Lol, I remember they were all over the place in the fall in utah, and there just isn't usually anything fun or unusual like that around here, so when we found out there was one, we had to go of course!

I started the day getting the kids all dressed in their Halloween Colors! They didn't really have Halloween clothes, so we quickly made some jewelry for Maliyah, had the bow already made, and then of course the boys just in whatever I could find.

Maliyah even begged to have her nails painted and her face painted as well! I forgot to take pics of the nails, but this first picture is her happy face because it's painted and then the actual painting.

My happy baby Jayden. Even though he is always stuck in a Stroller, he always has a smile for me! Actually he got out a bit a played this night.!

They had this big Sand Box, but instead of sand, it was filled with Corn! The kids absolutely loved it! I let Jade get in and play too, I just had to really keep a close eye on him so he wouldn't eat the corn!

Kyson....where are Jaydens legs?

We met up with some friends there. This is Maliyah and her friend Raegan...and yes I have their permission to post her picture!

Maliyah loved Jumping into the corn. She kept trying to show Ky how to do it.

They had two huge checker boards to play with. I don't really do checkers, and since Maliyah didn't know how to play, we didn't have an actual game, but the pieces on one side were horses (a farmer runs this place) so she just played with the horses.

This is the only picture I took of us in the actual maze. It took us about an hour to get through and that was with the map! It really wasn't a good map at all and the maze was really hard. I can't imagine having done it without! The weather was really nice that day, but the second half of the maze it was starting to get cold and the kids were done! Half way through though Kyson complained somehting about his shoe. Duck takes it off to find a shoe full of corn! So then Maliyah wants us to clean hers out too! They had been going that whole way with corn filled shoes! I felt sooooo bad! The picture is of the pile of corn that came out of their shoes!

At the end of the maze they had picture boards. Kyson is usually scared of this kind of thing, but after getting over hitting his nose on one, they totally got into it and had fun!

We finished off our night at the corn maze with some popcorn and our picnic dinner.
We then drove to Wal-mart to pick out our Halloween Pumpkins. We usually carve them the Monday before Halloween and I knew I wouldn't want to go to the store on Monday....so tonight was the night! We had a fun time and then decided to treat the kids to a Banana Split at Denny's. We just shared one then had some eggs for the boys since they didn't eat much of their dinner.
These next two pictures are from Denny's

We got home and it was still fairly early so we decided to have what the kids call a Late night. Basically they get to stay up past their bed time and we watch a movie or play games. We don't do it tonz so it's a really special thing. We watched a movie then the kids and I had a sleepover in the family room. It really was a fun night.
