Forget play dates...how about a partay!?

Saturday morning T-ball game!  Maliyah's at Bat and Ky's at 1st.

We don't do play dates very often. It's just not always on my mind, and often our weeks just get so busy that it fly's by and I dont' even think about it. With Duck gone I was trying to think of fun things to do with the kids. We have some awesome friends (yes Sara....you are my inspiration!) who always have big shabangs for their kids' and friends. Rather than a million playdates throughout the week/month they will occasionally have one big party with all the kids friends.

Each kid could invite up to three friends. We didn't do dinner, but we had a dance party for the girls downstairs while the boys were upstairs and outside playing games. Then we came together for Smores! We had purchased earlier that day, a portable fire pit from Wally's. We've always wanted one so it was just a great opportunity. The kids are always sad when Duck is gone so we try to plan extra fun things to make up for it! (Duck you owe me)

With 8 extra kids on top of my own 5, it was a full house (I mean full 3 bedroom apartment!) but the boys played outside most of the time and even though we have a small backyard, kids are creative and always find plenty to do back there!

The Ladder ball was a hit with the older boys

The frog Asher found kept the little boys entertained forever!

The firepit was definitely a hit!  Jayden didn't like being too close though...can ya tell?

The craziness

BEcause I had to monitor the fire I didn't ever make it down to take pictures of the girls and their dance party, but they sure seemed entertained with me!  They loved the smores and marshmallow roasting as well.  13 kids and smore making equals some pretty wild, silly and giddy moments!

These kiddo's found anything and everything to entertain themselves!

Three of the boys we had over are brothers and they have a baby sister just a month younger than Emma.  They LOVED her! They were constantly comparing her to their baby sister and how they talk the same, walk the same and laugh the same!  Emma was grateful that someone finally paid some attention to her!
