Trip to Farmington New Mexico to visit Grandma!

It was my Grandma Packers 88th birthday and since I had been wanting to visit her, this was the perfect opportunity!

I was a little nervous at first not sure what we would do the whole day and a half (yes we drove another two full days to just stay for one!)...but at the end of the trip we wished we could stay longer. The kids had a blast and I really enjoyed being there, seeing all the places I played as a kid and reliving old memories.

Playing at the park by grandma's house.

Doesn't grandma look great! She is so beautiful!

I have great memories of playing in this stream as a kid.

Birthday Party!

Vinyl Picture holder. It's from target and so ingenious! The pictures just can slide in the side so easy for grandma to change out and put in new pictures as they come!

No, we didn't use 88 candles...just 20.

What is a birthday party without games!? Grandma shared with us a game she used to use with the kids in primary when she was the 'friendly lady'.

Kyson won and was pretty excited!

Then....water gun fight!

Grandma's Home Teacher came by while we were there and his daughter had made Grandma this cake. I guess she had never seen fondant before and was really confused!

We stayed up late playing card games. Grandma was a great teacher and the kids could have stayed up all night playing with her! Grandma Grape we love you!

On the way back to SLC we stopped by and let the kids climb Wilson's Arch. Just one of many in Arches National Park. Again something that was tradition for our family when we travelled to Grandma's. They LOVED it! In fact they went up a second time before we left!
