New Years Eve

New Years Eve DAy my parents were in the process of purchasing a new Van. So my brother Austin (who is leaving soon on his mission to Italy!) was cleaning out the old VAn. He had The Beach Boys cranked up and the boys were dancing to it. It was pretty hilarious to watch and soon Maliyah joined in!

That afternoon we also took the kids to see Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs. Cute, but we all left feeling sick to our stomachs and totally not hungry! I already was still feeling queasy from being sick and it really just made it worse! If you have seen the movie you probably understand!

Later that night we had ALL the family at the house. It was awesome. It was the first New Years I think with Everybody and the first time the kids had a big sleepover with cousins like this. WE kicked off the evening with gingerbread building!

I think for some of the kiddos there was more eating than building, but they sure had fun!

This is my newest Nephew Jacob. I can't believe he was the last boy! We had so many boys in a row, it's weird to think he was the last! Jaron and Vanesa are expecting their 2nd boy as well.

After Dinner while the adults played games we took the kids downstairs for a game too. Don't Eat Pete. Janine introduced us to this game and it was hilarious! You have candy on this game board and someone hides. Then the group picks a square on the board to be pete. The 'it' person comes back and starts eating candy. When they get the piece that is pete we all yell "Don't Eat PETE!" LOl....I have more about this game plus links to game boards in a post down below....I think on January 2nd.

We let all the kids stay up as late as they could handle and boy they handled well! They all made it till midnight and then after that even stayed up for a movie! It was a late night and we all slept over on Grandmas living room floor.

Happy New Year!!
