Update
Because I have so many pictures to post, and so much to tell, I'm going to type fast, and I'm not going to take the time to fix errors. I'm sorry for those of you that totally get bugged by that, but I'm just happy I'm finally getting all this blogged and that you all get to see pictures of our New Baby Adventures. Since I'm posting a lot at once, you will have to backtrack one more page of posts to read in order and get caught up! But you won't want to NOT do that, as the previous page of posts are of Savannah's Birth. Sorry there is so much, this is why I hate getting behind! But when you have a new baby, you take lots of pictures, when you have family in town, you take lots of pictures, and when you have a mom for a photographer, you GET LOTS of great pictures! So....enjoy all the pictures!
Week of Family, Fun, and New Baby!
LIke I mentioned in the last post some of my family arrived Saturday night. Sunday was quiet and uneveneful, during the hour that I was home alonE! It was a full house, and about to get fuller the next day, but it was great to have them here. I went to church just for Sunday school and enjoyed that quiet hour I had alone to myself to get ready for church.
Savannah in her first Dress all ready for church!
Monday had to still be my chore day...even with family here I knew with a new baby I couldn't get too far behind or else it would take me weeks to get caught back up...and it still feels like it is!
Monday night my sister Janine and her two kids, and my sister Becca arrived. They were all here and it was a party! But craziest party of all was trying to hurry and get out the door to have my mom take savannah's pictures! It was going to be the only night we would have to do it while she was here. So shortly after Janine and Becca arrived, all the boys got to hang out here at the house (yes Duck and Brent got to watch all 5 boys, oh and Maliyah too!) while all us gals went out for pictures. We had driven around the night before looking for places that would work for the pictures and one place we drove by was a yard I had actually seen a few weeks prior when they were having a yard sale and I rememberd how beautiful it was. We decided to try there. WE pulled up, found the owner of the home and asked if we could use her yard. This lady was a saint. She not only said yes and that she was honored that we would want to use her yard, but she stood with us through the whole photo shoot, holding Olivia most of the time! Kathy was just too cute for words. WE absolutely loved that evening getting to know her. WE knew we would be seeing her again! (and we did! the next night we had her over for DUck's birthdy party and again we absolutely loved her company! Thanks Kathy for being so great!)

birthdays
Tuesady, our first full day with a FULL house! WE had a party to plan and put together for Duck and we had a lot of work to do! It was so much more fun thouth putting together this BBQ with everybody there, than had I done it on my own. The kids too were pretty excited about finally having Daddy's birthday party. I felt like such a flake having planned this bbq last minute, then having to cancel, then doing it last minute again, but gosh darn it we had to do soemthing!
First though we had to do something with the kids and get them out of the house. So we took them out to Wiard park to play, have lunch, then play in their little kiddie pool. It was short, fun, and just what the kids needed to wear them out for nap time!
WE had a fabulous dinner of Beef, Pork, Chicken and shrimp kabobs (thanks to the help of master chef DUck), Corn ont he Cob, fresh fruit, and Garlic Bread. And to top it all off....another Ice Cream cake. Duck LOVES ice cream cake and this one turned out SUper yummy!
It was a simple party really (most of the work was the food and my darn yard!), we had dinner, played a game and had dessert. It was a beautiful night for an outdoor party and thanks to all that came...it really was so fun to have you all here and to have family be part of it!
Our good friends Kimberly and Joey had their baby Max just 2 1/2 weeks before we had Savannah and I had been dying to get a picture of the two of them together. Max was hungry, but being so patient to have his binki taken away for this photo!

6 days old and SEcond PHoto shoot...oh yeah and Crater Lake!
Wednesday we a full and crazy, but fun day! We actually had a lot to do in the morning, just getting house in order, kids dressed, ourselves re3ady, but also because we were going to go to Crater Lake that night and had to make sure to have dinners all ready and packed. Also mom, brent and shal were leaving the next morning and had to be all ready for that.
Well with all that going on, I also wanted to do some indoor photos of Savannah before mom left. So we had to get all the above done by nap time so we could use the quiet of the day to do pictures! It kinda worked that way! ;)
Crater Lake was a blast, it was a little chilly and Savannah had her first blow out, but it was fun to show the amazing lake to the family that hadn't seen it yet, for the kids to run around and be wild, and then to cook our tin foil dinners and roast marshmallows was of course the best! The kids took advantage of the freedom to run around and get dirty. They saw deer, explored the area, and ate all their food after such an exhausting afternoon!
These last two of just of Savannah wearing some cute little Jammies her Grandma Duck sent her.
