O' Christmas Tree

The Monday night after Thanksgiving for Family Home Evening is when we always decorate our Christmas Tree. Then I usually follow up with the rest of the decorating, but we decided to try it all that night.

Daddy's Job - Putting up the Tree
Mommy's Job - unwrapping all the ornaments to be hung
Kyson - to hang the ornaments
Maliyah - to re-hang the ones Kyson hung becuase she didn't like where he put them
Jayden - to pull the ornaments back down so we could do it all over again!
Savannah - being a perfect angel like always! (actually I think she was sleeping through it all)

Every year the kids get an ornament as a Christmas gift, they get to opening it on Christmas Eve and add it to the tree. Then when they move out, they will have a collection of ornaments to start their own Christmas Tree. And in the mean time it makes ours beautiful! I often dream of a all matchy Christmas tree...brimming with large breakable ornaments that cost much more than I could ever afford...then I quickly remember how much I love our tree and have memories of all the ornaments on it. Some of them are from the first Christmas Duck and I had together, and then from the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th Christmases that our children have had and I LOVE that!
