Week Update 8-4 through 8-11-09 and my BIRTHDAY!

There are many times during my week when my kids do or say something th atI just get a crack out of or is sweet and I want to share it! I document it occasionally in my journal, but I never take the time to share them! I think I'll try my best to do that from now on!

So for starters:

Kyson is really diffcult in primary when I am around or teaching. And today was no different. I was doing the music, which was the full two hours since we were practicing for the primary program, and he was whiney and awful as usual. Finally at the end he wanted to come up and sing a solo for everyone! I didn't know what to do since i couldn't just let anybody who wanted to, to come and sing a solo, but I knew it would make his day. So I let him! All the kids in primary were so quiet, and so good to listen kindly to him, and they even applauded at the end! It was so sweet and he was really good the rest of the time (or the 5 minutes we had left!).

Early this week Maliyah had pictures at her school. Since we get the kids' pictures done every six months anyway I didn't pay to have them done, but she still made sure to be dressed up and hair done for the picture that others will see! So on the way out the door we took a few pictures of our own. Just in our yard, nothing special, but golly I sure love these more than a basic school picture!!

Kyson and Jayden were then feeling left out! We had walked from Maliyah's school to Alberstons for a little exercise, but because I needed a few things for my music classes that day. They had their pumpkins all laid out in front of the store and Ky asked me to take pictures of them. Silly boys!

Maliyah's friend got to ride the bus home with her that day which was super exciting! This will happen on Tuesdays now since she comes to music classes at our house. They were both really excited about this.

Then....totally planned, but 4 days late......

Savannah's 2 month pictures!!

Taking pictures of a 2, 3, and often even 4 month old is so hard! They can't sit up, but even harder at 2 months, she is done with the newborn stuff, but can't really hold herself up yet, so she is sooooo wobbly and so hard to take pictures of! At least good ones! It was a struggle. Not to mention by the time I finished classes and got to the park I was losing light and fast!

I can't believe that she is Two months old already. Actually it's not so much that time has gone by too fast, because unbelievably it hasn't seem to fly....but I just still can't believe how much she has grown and changed just in two months! She is such a sweet baby, she is so good, pretty much sleeping through the night even now that she has a cold. There are days that I just wish I could sit around and hold her ALL day!

Then these pictures....a funny story. I had wanted to do Savs pictures outside, all cozy in a sweater and hat. I couldn't find a crocheted had anywhere to use, so I spent the weekend learning how to make one myself. Long story short, I and my friend got out there to take the pictures and I had forgotten the hat! So the following is a later shoot with the hat!

(by the way, THANKS kimberly for helping me with her pictures!)

The same day I took these pictures with the hat, the boys were all matchy so I tried to get them to hold still for two seconds to get a pic. I guess now Jayden thinks taking pictures is a game because every time I tried he would hide behind Ky or start running around him and then playing peekaboo!

OH! And I almost forgot. Since that was a day Ky had preschool the two kids were heading out the door both in their backpacks and it was just so cute!

Wow, I just realized I took a lot of pictures that day....and guess what day it was?! My birthday! And sorry I"m doing all this in one post. I'm just wanting to get through all this so it's going to be meshed into one post!

That night we went to dinner at Wingers for my birthday. I had this cute dress given me for Savannah. I have recieved a lot of cute DUcky stuff for every baby, but this tops it all!! The dress with embroidered sweater! WAy too darling.

Then pictures from dinner at Wingers:

My birthday itself was an odd birthday....mostly becuase it was a very normal busy day. Duck did spoil me with Flowers and about the biggest box of Dove chocolates you could find! And thank you to all those who called, texted or facebooked me on my birthday. I really appreciate all the birthday wishes!

I also gave myself a birthday present and allowed myself to finally spend time to clean my work room! It had gotten such a mess...awful, the worst it's ever been! I didn't even like walking in there, wouldn't let my kids in there at all! It suprisingly only took two hours to clean, but it feels soooo good! Then I got to enjoy the rewards of my work and spent Friday night while Duck was out camping making tonz of bows and sewing some clothes for the girls! I will post those later.

But my birthday celebrating isn't over! Duck and the kids are making my cake as I type, and then I have my birthday date at the end of the month when Duck is taking me to Medford to see that Michael Jackson film in the theatre there. I can't wait for that night! I also went shopping with a friend before a ladies night out and found a few clothing items! It's always hard shopping for clothes, but if I can find things i like for a price I like then I'm a happy woman!

Super cute Cookie bouquet from my Mother-in-law....THANKS LINDA!!

LAst but not least....I had made some dresses for the girls months ago and never got pictures of them. They have only worn them once and today will probably be the last time SAvannah wears hers...unless I guess she could wear it as a shirt with some pants, but even then it's getting a little snug around! Anyway a friend gave me the fabric in them and I had been trying to get pictures to show her! So here they are AMY!!

CUTE GIRL

JUST AS CUTE!

I wish I took pictures of Maliyah twirling in this dress. It's a really full skirt and so cute when she spins around. Maybe next time as I'm sure she will wear it again, just not SAvannah.

This is just a random picture from this week. I had Jayden help carry the diaper bag and he felt so proud to help! From then on every time we came in or out of the house he wanted to help carry it!
