Camping was fun, but we had to get up early and head out by 8:00 to go to Kyson's t-ball game. Duck and Ky got there just in time to find out instead of being at 9:00 AM like we thought, it was really at 11:00!! It was okay though, we were able to quickly get a little bit of yard work done and unpacking from camping. Duck had suggested the day before going to Medford, so we also decided to do that right after T-ball!
Ky's t-ball game was great. Kyson is doing a lot better and starting to pay a little bit more attention to the game. Probably won't do t-ball again until he is older, but in the mean time, at least he is improving!
I had to post this next picture, but this other team was hilarious! They did really good, but they were a little too anxious for the ball. Everytime our team would hit the ball, all their boys (in the brown) would run and dog pile eachother. Then even if they didnt have the ball....they wouldn't move! EAch time the coach had to go and remove them off the person on the bottom! It was so funny.
Maliyah patiently waiting through the game. Jayden on the other hand isn't quite so patient!
After Ky's game we headed up to Medford. The idea was to buy clearance summer clothes for the kids for next year. Duck had a gift card to Old Navy...thus why we had to go to medford to do the shoppping! After dragging the kids through Old Navy though we let them play at the museum for awhile. Always fun, always exciting, and never enough time! Although they have been really good at happily leaving when I say it's time. This little spot was a set up they had outside the museum for 'summer' picture taking.
Then lastly we splurged and took the kids to Red Lobsters. It was funny though because we haven't been there in awhile, and seperately Duck and I had asked Maliyah and Kyson where they would want dinner and they both said Red Lobster! Of course first thing when we walked in they wanted to see the lobsters. This was the first time all three of them would touch the lobster (usually Kyson will just watch).
The kids had fun in Medford and it was just something different to do. I was exhausted though and slept the whole way home and probably could have gone to bed right when we got home! But Duck had suggested getting a sitter and going to a movie for our date night. I was game....IF we could get the sitter. Well suprisingly on such late notice we found someone and were able to go to a movie. As much as I loved the alone time with my husband and having a 'real' date....I wasn't super thrilled about the movie. A lot of people have really liked it and raved about it, but for me there was too much sexual context (not nudity scenes...just reference and humor{although I didn't appreciate the chick in the dorm!}) then way too much swearing. NOt to mention the man who drops his pants and we get a close up of his thong....that was totally unecessary! Won't be seeing that movie again or any sequals.
