Valentines Day

On Valentines Day we had quite a bit planned. Maybe a bit too much. Maliyah helped make our adgenda, and because she knew what we had planned...if it didn't happen there was just disappointment! So, next year I think I'll just surprise them with what we re going to do! Then they will just be pleasantly surprised!

We spent the morning doing school and crafts, enjoying a lunch of heart shape cheese, ham, red apples and crackers. We were invited to a homeschool valentine party and the kids had a blast playing there. The kids all got along really well and I enjoyed the time chatting with the other moms.

We kinda stayed a little too long past nap time though. Svannah and Jayden ended up in meltdown and Jayden didn't come out of it for a long time...even after his nap!

During naptime I let Kyson and Maliyah stay up with me and work on more crafts like these suckers. And I call them a craft because I honestly didn't have any plans of letting the kids eat them...it was more for the fun of making them.

I saw this cute craft on this blog and the kids seemed to enjoy making it, although we had drama when it came to cutting the hearts. I wanted the kids to do i on their own and they wanted me to cut them perfect hearts....oh well!

For dinner we made heart pizza's. With the crazy busyness of our day I decided to make it simple and we just used crescent roll dough, it worked out really well!

Our traditional favorite.

For our REAL dessert we made mini heart cakes and the kids got to decorate them, although by that point they had had so much to eat they didn't finish them.
