Crafty Christmas Weekend

Friday I went to a friends and worked on PJ pants. I was able to finish them later at home and with the extra fabric made matching rice bags for each kid. I still had some leftover and figured that would be a fun activity for the kids to help me with, so the next day we did it! We also worked on getting Christmas letters out and the kids were super helpful with that too!

Working on the rice bags. These I made super simple thanks to my sisters suggestion, and instead of sewing them right sides and turning it back out, I just sewed a zig zag on the outside and snipped the sides for some fraying! I probably should have doubled the fabric and doubled the zigzag stitch, but oh well! They are cute, the kids were able to help make them, we had fun, and they are done! Also we added a little (like 3 drops) of scented oil first. (if you do this smoosh the drops of oil in a ziplock first to coat the sides then add the rice).









 





Jayden and Savannah weren't much help, but they are still cute anyway!

Cookie cutters with a super cute poem

I made a plate of cookies to share with you this year
I thought it was a good way to spread some Christmas cheer
They all looked really tasty, so I thought I'd eat just one
And a little while later, I noticed there were none.

That morning we also made Hula Hoops! They are for the kids for Christmas so I haven't had a place to set them out and take pictures yet without them being around, but I will. I had a couple friends over to do it and we were all amazed at how easy it was! I'm so glad we did it! I'll share for sure how and pictures soon.
