So instead of Cater Lake we drove up to Medford. We went during nap time and luckly all kids fell asleep at some point. Maybe not as long as I would have hoped, but enough to keep them happy through the afternoon!
We started off going to the Slick Cart Tracks. Basically it’s what it sounds like. A slick track that you drive go carts on!
We figured they would be totally stoked about it and the idea to the boys of going on a race track seemed so exciting!
They only have one double occupancy cart so we had to take turns. First was Duck and Maliyah. She did pretty good, but looked a little nervous while they were riding. But afterward she said she had fun.
Even before starting though Kyson said he didn’t want to do it. He seemed scared and of course we already paid for his ticket so I was afraid it would be wasted and he would wimp out.
Second was Janine and Adam. He was totally anxious to go, but started to get nervous really fast. They got started….he didn’t like it at all! Even afterwards he insisted it was NOT fun.
So lastly was Ky and Me. By this point he had consented to go, but I was afraid of what the result would be. I made sure that I went as slow as I could. But every time I asked if he wanted to go faster he yelled yes! Before I knew it I was going as fast as I could, he was yelling yay, raising his arms up and yelling hi to everybody watching. He LOVED IT!!

As adam would lean over to sleep, his booster would lean over as well. Golly, makes me feel a little safer with kids still strapped super tight to the seat!

Coope waiting patiently thinking he is going to get a turn on the tracks.

We did hit the mall for the kids to play at the park, but before it was too late we went to dinner at Red Lobster! I have to say for quite the expensive restaurant we did really awesome with all 8 of us! We only spent $35!! I was totally shocked, but that’s just to prove I can go to Red Lobster Duck can still get something with lobster in it, I can get my cheese biscuits and not spend a but load!
The kids of course love going there because they get to touch the lobsters. Well Kyson doesn’t, and Adam and Cooper were quite unsure, but Maliyah and Jade were all over it!
