Huge Nursery Clean-up! 2-7-09

Saturday the 7th I think was the date, I finally set aside to do something I had been meaning to get to for months. Re-organize our Nursery. We had been discussing it for awhile, things we could do to make things work better in there, but then there was some resistance, and then a wait for budget, but finally it all came together! I got all new totes with lids for the toys, rearranged, cleaned out and organized all the toys and tossed anything that was broken, close to being broken, likely to break, or just random things. I cleaned out all the cabinets, cleared of all the tops, took pictures of all the toys, and made a posted or basic nursery care rules. In the end I was very happy with the result although it literally took all day! I didn’t really get pictures of the finished product, but loved how the labels turned out. I just took pictures of the toys in that particular bin, photoshopped to add the title of what it was, then taped them on. It really turned out well. I had the pictures printed on normal paper at Office Depot and the pictures really came out great and vibrant. I’m really hoping this helps people using the Nursery hopefully take a little more pride in caring for the items in there. And it might not make any difference, but at least now if I ever use the nursery I’ll have some direction in where the heck to store all that crap!
