Update week 11-16 through 11-23

Wow what a week! We have had so many parties and events, I'm about partied out! Me? Noooo! I love planning parties and events! Can you tell!?

This week of course was no exception as we had Maliyah's birthday party. That day was super crazy as everythign I could have going on (other than visiting teaching ) did happen! I spent all morning getting my chorse done, cleaning the house, and the hours I usually have to spend getting things ready for my presidency meeting that night. I actually scheduled a quick scouting meeting as well right before. So right up until the party start (literally as I was blowing my hair 5 minutes before), I was crazy busy. The party was awesome and after cleanup I had my scouting meeting. I was prepared for a long presidency meeting as well as our agenda had a lot on it, but then something came up and a sister in my ward was in the hopital and the decision wa smade for her to move to her daughters, so instead of a meeting we went and helped her pack her house. I debated on going or not as we really needed to ahve a meeting. But I have been lately looking for a service opportunity for us to do as a presidency so I felt as though this was the answer to my searching! So we went and I was so glad we did. They got her whole house packed up in a day! What a miracle that so quickly so many people could gather to help someone out. I really felt good about our decision to go and serve that night. When I got home it was date night! Duck was leaving out of town for four days the next morning so we needed to squeeze in a date. I was so tired, but actually lasted through most of the movie we watched!

The rest of the weekend has just been working on projects. With Duck gone I don't feel as obligated to cook, so we kept things simple (sandwhiches and ramen) and I just kept trying to work on getting some things done. I always have a list of 100 projects I would like to be working on, so I could keep busy for weeks and never get done, so of course even after a whole weekend I feel like I barely made a dent, but it was still good to do. Saturday I babysat for 9 hours and although the kids werent awful, that still put a little damper on things.

One thing I did that I now regret was tiling the backsplash in my bathroom. It was not as easy as I thought it would be. Laying the tile, great, grouting the tile and trying to have a clean line above the tile where it meets the wall....no so great. Also did you know grout with take the paint off your wall? Well, it does. So I tried to fix it a bit today...still not so great. I need professional help! I have to say after this weekend, I don't think I will ever tile something every again! I will lay it....but let the grouting be up to someone else!

Okay, it's late, I'm tired, and Duck hopefully should be home any minute. We hope you are all well, we will be in Utah after Christmas and would love to see anybody who would be there as well. Love Ya!
