Making Valentines

Wenesday was our day to get valentines done for the preschool party on Thursday. Also Maliyah wanted to make one for her Teacher and she would see her that day for PE. Well we got all the friend Valentines done just fine, but for her teacher she wanted to make this Heart cookie lollipop thing. Yeah. It didn't turn out that great. The cookie dough I used was pre-made from the store and it just didn't work well for what we were doing. Thus no picture....it was pathetic. BUT I'm sure it tasted good and we still gave it to her teacher since we didn't really have time to do anything else.

I found tonz of cute ideas online this week for valentines and finally picked two that I felt the kids could help me with and that I already had the supplies for, including the candy! I apologize in advance that I'm not very good and keeping track of where I see ideas so I can give them the credit. But again just so you all know...I'm totally a copy cater! I soooo use other ideas and tweak them to work for me and it's my goal to work harder on giving credit where it's due!

Maliyah's valentines were sucker flowers. Thank heavens for the cricut this was pretty easy. The flower is actually made of Three hearts to be the petals, then extra flowers and a leaf. Once I cut everything the kids pretty much did the rest! I had to apply the glue since I used the hot glue gun...but they did the folding and assembling.

Then I failed to get a picture of the actual valentines Kyson made, but below is the picture I found online and she does have her little logo on there so you know where to go and find all her amazing ideas! I have to admit as cute as this idea was, and they looked super cute...it was very hard to get the candy out of these! so in the end we probably ended up frustrating a lot of 4 year olds! But KYson had fun helping me sew them, cut the paper and plastic, and get the candy in the right place! Of course he helped taste test the candies as well. We used mini m&ms for ours though.
